A Tall Ship Exodus: The fleet leaves Boston and heads for
Halifax
Opportunities were few and far between to see the Tall
Ships under sail when they visited Boston. Here are some
photos as they left Boston Harbor and set sail for

from the Netherlands. She is also known as the 'Ocean
Wanderer.'
Europa sails with a
professional crew of 14 people.
Picton Castle, perhaps
best known for her around-the-world voyages, is based
in Lunenburg, N.S.
Tecla, a gaff ketch, is
from the Netherlands.

Kruzenshtern, of Russia,
lost part of her mast when caught in a storm between
Bermuda and South Carolina. At 376' she is the second
largest Tall Ship in the world.
